Criminal Law

Our Criminal Department cover all aspects of criminal work on behalf of defendants including:

• advice at the police station
• available 24 hours a day seven days a week
• free of charge whatever an individual's financial status.

Donald Owen and Gordon Haigh are members of the Rochdale 24 hour and court duty solicitor scheme.

Our Criminal Department also have their own rota which is covered by Donald Owen and Gordon Haigh and Tracy Wilson.

We represent defendants following charge or summons dealing with all matters on the criminal calendar ranging from motoring to murder!

We are also in a position to assist detainees in relation to imigration matters due to Gordon Haigh's experience in this area.

All members of our criminal department are fully qualified in their area of work and each has a wealth of experience.

We have been awarded a criminal legal aid franchise which enables us to provide defendants with representation under the legal aid scheme where appropriate and if legal aid is not available in a particular case we offer an initial free 20 minute consultation.

We are seeking to extend the service we provide to inmates in prison law covering issues such as sentence calculation, provision of healthcare, security categorisation, parole etc
